Apple successfully appeals $15bn Irish tax bill
Europe's second-highest court has overruled a European Union Order for Apple to repay $15 billion (€13 billion) in Irish back taxes. The European Commission had order the payment, saying that Apple had benefited from artificially low Irish taxes. But the General Court of the European Union has rejected the ruling, finding that Apple did not benefit from "a selective economic advantage".
