Eight major telcos to share data for coronavirus tracking
Some of Europe's biggest telcos have agreed to share data with the European Commission to help it track the spread of the coronavirus. Vodafone, Deutsche Telekom and Orange are among those who will release anonymised data to determine mobile locations. The GSMA said the data will be deleted once the worst of the crisis passes. Anonymised data doesn't fall under normal EU data protection laws.
