EU charges Apple with anticompetitive behaviour
The European Commission has issued a formal ‘statement of objections’ charging Apple with breaking EU competition rules over its managing of the App Store. The EU accused Apple of raising the costs of competing music streaming app developers. Apple has 12 weeks to respond to the charges and faces a large fine and being forced to change its policies if its arguments do not convince the regulators.
