France waves away Google's appeal against $57mn GDPR fine
Google's appeal against a $57 million fine for contravening GDPR rules has been rejected in France. It was hit with the fine last year after the data regulator ruled that it had not made it clear enough to Android users how their personal data would be used. Google decided to appeal but The State Council upheld the verdict that Google did not provide "sufficiently clear" information to users.
