General Motor's self-driving unit, Cruise, has unveiled its fully autonomous prototype. The prototype has no steering wheel or pedals and would be used for the company's planned autonomous ride-sharing service. The vehicle, named “Cruise Origin”, was developed with Honda Motor Co Ltd, which took a minority stake in Cruise in 2018. The company is still awaiting a permit from California regulators.
