Google appoints new India chief
Google has named Sanjay Gupta, formerly of Star and Disney, as the head of its Indian operations. The role has been vacant for eight months but Gupta will now take on the reins, as reported by Money Control. He turned Star and Disney into India's biggest media company. "I am delighted to take on the challenge of leading and shaping Google’s charter in India," he said. Gupta replaces Rajan Anandan.
