Google given go-ahead to complete $2.6bn Looker acquisition
The UK's competition watchdog has given Google the go-ahead to complete its $2.6bn acquisition of data analytics firm Looker Data Sciences. The Competition and Markets Authority said it was satisfied the deal would not increase prices or reduce quality in the business intelligence market. The deal has been approved by the U.S. Department of Justice and the Austrian Federal Competition Authority.
