Google sidelines VR in favour of augmented reality
Google has announced that its new Pixel 4 won't support Daydream View, a headset that docks phones and uses them as screens. It is, in fact, pulling the Daydream Headset altogether. However, Google will continue to invest in AR as VR struggles to gain mainstream traction. Google will concentrate on products such as Google Lens and mobile applications moving forward. Who will win the wearables war?
