Google's $2.6bn buy of Looker to be probed by UK watchdog
The UK's Competition and Markets Authority is to investigate Google’s $2.6bn acquisition of big-data analytics company Looker. The acquisition was announced in June, with Google looking to beef up its cloud provision offering. The body will look into whether the deal "may be expected to result in a substantial lessening of competition within any market".
