Intel delivers exascale supercomputer to US Department of Energy
Intel has provided the US Department of Energy (DOE) with a supercomputer that reaches a performance of one exaFLOP. 'Aurora' looks set to dramatically transform the capability for advanced scientific research and discovery through high-performance computing and artificial intelligence. One exaFLOP equals one quintillion floating point computations per second. The contract is worth $500 million.
