Qualcomm, SSW Partners pay $4.5bn for driving tech firm Veoneer
Veoneer has been sold to Qualcomm and SSW Partners for $4.5bn. The two companies usurped Magma, which bid $3.8bn for Veoneer in July. The automotive technology firm first engaged with Qualcomm earlier this year to develop a software and chip platform for driver-assistance systems. SSW Partners is a New York-based investment partnership. Qualcomm and SSW have paid $37 per share in cash.
