Rakuten forced to delay 5G launch due to coronavirus
Rakuten has pushed its 5G launch in Japan back until September. The company says the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on its supply chains is the reason behind the delay. The ecommerce giant tackled the telecoms market by launching its first 4G service in April, while 5G was set to follow in June. Earlier this week it announced its intention to acquire Innoeye to help with its 5G network build.
