Reports: Apple finalises $200 million Japan Display investment
Apple has injected $200 million into Japan Display, report Reuters. Its supplier is struggling in the wake of the move away from LCD screens. The money is for the purchase of LCD manufacturing equipment, helping to keep its long-term supplier afloat as it races to build OLED displays. As of last year, Japan Display owed Apple more than $800 million after the tech giant helped fund a new factory.
